Terms & Conditions

By interacting with us, submitting information to us or signing up for any service or promotion offered by us, you agree and consent to Jalan Kayu Town Council and its related corporations (collectively, the "Companies"), as well as our respective representatives and/or agents (“Representatives”) (collectively referred to herein as "JKTC", "us", "we" or "our") collecting, using, disclosing and sharing amongst ourselves your Personal Data and disclosing such Personal Data to the Companies' authorised service providers and relevant third parties in the manner set forth in our Data Protection Policy. The application shall be submitted to Jalan Kayu Town Council at least 14 working days prior to the actual filming. The application may be rejected if it fails to adhere to the stipulated timeframe for submission.

  1. The applicant shall use the common area/void deck/ open space for the specific purpose applied for only and within the period permitted.
  2. The applicant shall ensure that no obstruction is caused to the lift entrance, letterboxes, common facilities, or members of the public.
  3. The applicant shall ensure that the cleanliness of the common area / void deck / open space and surrounding areas is maintained throughout the whole period of use.
  4. No excessive noise is to be created so as not to become a source of nuisance or annoyance to the residents. The use of amplifier equipment must be fitted with an approved noise reduction unit.
  5. Precautionary measures shall be taken at all times to prevent any accidents during filming or set.
  6. Electricity and water may be obtained from the Town Council’s supply, subject to a charge at prevailing rates stipulated by the Town Council. The use of the Town Council’s electricity is subject to the condition that there shall be no overloading of the Town Council’s electrical supply. In all cases, the loading capacity for lighting purposes shall not exceed 15 amperes.
  7. A licensed contractor shall carry out all electrical wiring works and shall comply strictly with the PUB regulations, which require the provision of ELCB, Temporary wiring running across common areas shall not pose any danger to members of the public.
  8. The applicant shall be solely responsible and shall pay for all necessary expenses for any loss or damage whatsoever and howsoever caused to the said common area / void deck / open space, its surroundings and/or adjacent buildings arising as a consequence of or in connection with the granting of this permit and notwithstanding of whether or not there is negligence on the part of the applicant.
  9. This permit is granted subject to the applicant obtaining the necessary permits/licences from all appropriate authorities, including the Police.
  10. The applicant shall keep the Town Council indemnified against all actions, claims and demands that may be lawfully brought or made against the Town Council by any person or persons on account of or attributable to the use of the common area / void deck /open space stated overleaf.
  11. Display of banner and/or advertisement sign is subject to the approval of the relevant authorities.
  12. The Town Council reserves the right to reject any application and revoke any permit granted at any time without assigning any reason/s whatsoever. The Town Council also shall not be liable for any damages arising from the rejection of the application or revocation of the permit.
  13. The Town Council reserves the right to intervene at any time, with or without your consent, to carry out emergency rectification works to address any damage caused, if such damage, in our sole discretion, poses a danger to the public and common property.
  14. The applicant shall ensure that there will be no adverse publicity for the Town Council.
